Donna - ASDA Llandudno store
Thanks for your training on the first aid course I truly did enjoy it Tim (especially the bit about putting a plaster on Jackies mouth ) lol. .. but know I have done a few courses in the past and this was the first time I feel confident about what I need to do (hopefully won't have to )... so well done you .. and thanks again. . Melvin Baldock - Trainer at Tesco Stores Crawley treating patient Becky Pratt on the day of the course.
Whilst teaching the course in the training room of the store the manageress knocked the door to advise she had just scalded herself on the kettle. She had run the injury under the cold tap for 5 minutes and then asked me for assistance. I asked if I could be joined by the 6 students whilst we treated her. I requested that Becky continue to run her right wrist under the cold tap again to continue the cooling process. I supplied a burn dressing and wrapped the dressing around the wrist and then cling film over her arm. She was advised to go to hospital as she had a tattoo on the inside of her wrist which appeared to be blistering underneath due to scar tissue. The injury was a superficial burn of about 1%, complicated by a tattoo but no obvious usual tissue blistering on the surface. Becky advised that she would call in the incident and that they would probably want to speak to me. I advised I would return at lunch and check the wrist again. During lunch I replaced the burn dressing with another as the current one had dried out. Becky left soon after for the minor injuries unit. She had rung through the report of the incident but they did not require to speak with me. The lady that organises the first aid training for 36 stores visited and thanked me for what I had done. I asked Becky to come into the group and discuss her experience and what the hospital had said. She has been given a special gauze to protect the viability of the skin and asked to return in a week. They considered she was very lucky to have cooled the skin so quickly and had the burn dressing applied. The main issue was the scarring that was evident from the tattoo. I also bought a small cake and candles as it was Becky’s birthday to cheer her up. Just going the extra mile.
Paul Tozer - Lytham High School
Just a quick note to say thank you as we have completed our course, just to also say Sam our trainer was excellent, and to thank him again for delivering a great days training, looking forward to some more courses in the future. Best Regards, Paul
Gordon Henderson - Store Manager Tesco 5431
Last week we had a 1 Day Course run by Richard Bottomley at King Edward St Express in Hull. We would just like to give some feedback about how happy we are with the training received that day. The content was excellent and the delivery was brilliant - everyone in the room thought it was a great day. Richard's delivery brought the First Aid to life and we could easily see the best ways to act in the various scenarios we might face. His ability to relate the theory to practical situations made it easy to pick up some excellent knowledge from the day. Furthermore - I made a bit of a mistake with the venue and used an Express Training Room instead of a bigger space at a local Superstore that would have been more practical - Richard did not moan about this once, despite this causing him parking problems - first class attitude. Thank you very much.
Janet Howe, Sainsbury's Upton - First Aiders Response to Call
To Green Cross Trainer Tim Hassell
Hi Tim thought you would like to know that your training was put to good use by Mark Murphy and Arran Britton at Upton store. They were called to a 89 year old gentleman who stopped breathing while they were tending to him, they did CPR for 7 minutes and then the paramedics arrived and took over, the next day his daughter rang Mark and told him her dad was sitting up in the bed drinking a cup of tea!
From Mark (newly qualified first aider) ......
Bloody hell Tim !!! First aid shout so me and Arron went up to quickly find an elderly gent not breathing (heart attack) we immediately started CPR me with chest compressions and Arron on breath, we continued for 7 minutes until paramedics arrived and afterwards whilst they setup! (If I'm honest we thought he had gone but we where going through the motions for his distraught wife who witnessed everything) only to be told he had stats which was the most wonderful news anyone could get. Arron had removed mouth piece as he struggled to get breath in but continued anyway. The gent left on a stretcher breathing and we where told by the paramedics that we had save his life and he is still in hospital but doing ok. Arron got really upset but we spent some time together straight afterwards talking about it and we are both ok now, but without the training he was dead Tim, so thank you thank you and thank you again pal, it's been emotional, we are being classed as hero's and Sainsburys wants to do something for us but if I'm honest we were just glad that we were there, thanks again pal!

The course was really good, informative and had the right amount of detail. The practical elements were good along with the handout materials. The trainer was experienced and knowledgeable, he made the course very enjoyable. The venue was fine maybe a bit too small on the first day as there were about 10 people on the course - Many thanks.

Shola Omogbehin - Business Development Manager, Havering Education Services, London Borough of HaveringFor the past couple of years Green Cross Training has been the single approved first aid training provider to schools and settings in havering under the Havering Education Brokerage Scheme having gone through a rigorous public tender and quality assurance process. The company offers quality training at very competitive pricing. We have found their trainers and representatives, especially the Business Development Manager, Julia Cabuk to be highly responsive and committed to meeting the needs of our schools and settings. Its noteworthy that feedback from a cross section of schools shows that trainers deployed by the company are very knowledgeable, well informed and up to speed about latest legislations and that delegates at their training event leave feeling fully equipped with knowledge and understanding of relevant procedures, techniques and legislative guidelines. Their trainers are known to be polite and courteous to delegates. We have been particularly impressed by the speed and effectiveness with which any issues are resolved satisfactorily. This is clearly a company that cares enormously about its reputation and would take whatever step is necessary to ensure that their customers remain totally satisfied.

John McCarthy - Service Manager - RAF Brize Norton Catering HQ
You kindly supplied an Instructor to teach an EFAW Course at RAF Brize Norton on Monday 18th Jan 16. Jan Southams replaced Faisal Mahmood at short notice. On behalf of the 12 students, will you please pass on my sincere thanks to Jan for delivering the course to an extremely high and most of all enjoyable standard. Each and every one of the students has approached me to say how well the course was taught. Jan was extremely passionate about the subject and her excellent teaching methods kept the whole class interested throughout the day.
Lesley Lothian - Sainsbury's Nantwich
I attended a 2 day first aid refresher training course at Nantwich Sainsburys store 14 & 15 Jan. Paul Kuzsnik was our trainer. He inspired and supported us as held an interesting and informative course. I feel so confident, much more than my previous refresher 3 years ago. Have already implemented his great suggestions in my home store at Shrewsbury. I have already spread the word how great he and Green Cross is. Many thanks Lesley
Sue Davies - Delegate
The course was very informative and I learned a lot. The tutor presented the course clearly and seriously yet with regular injections of fun. Doreen's accent was a pleasure to listen to - quite dramatic at times when expressing the importance of things - which made me remember it all the more!
Liz Montford - Delegate
Jan is wonderful! The best first aid training I've ever had by a long way. Her experience and stories are invaluable and she really focuses on increasing your confidence so you would actually step in should FA be needed.
Alex Keith - Delegate
Course was very educational and covered a variety of situations where first aid would be necessary
Peter Hedges - Delegate
Very well presented, trainer had very good interaction with the group as well
Lindsey Hogg - Delegate
We all really enjoyed the course and Richard did a fantastic job of keeping everyone interested and keeping it fun.
Barry Wilkes - Delegate
Loved it, great fun but with a serious side, content was very good, Henry put us all at ease as we were all nervous.
Jamie Simpson - Delegate
The course was very detailed and concise (for the areas that were applicable to our needs), a well planned out course. Henry was brilliant; very knowledgeable and helpful, always prepared to help if there's something you're unsure of, and he is a very funny and enjoyable person to be around (but not to distract from the nitty gritty stuff; that was taken seriously). all-in-all a very good course, very enjoyable, very informative and I would definitely recommend anyone to get in touch and get on a course, it's invaluable knowledge that could, without trying to point out the obvious, save somebodies life. Thank-you :)
Ellie Cox - Delegate
All my colleagues thoroughly enjoyed the course and learnt a lot over the three days.
Natasha Haas - Dentsu Aegis Network

I have just finished a one day in-house training session with Ian Tucker at Sambourne school in Warminster and I just wanted to say what an excellent course it was. Delivered efficiently and by someone who has great knowledge in the subject. Added to this, he had great style in his deliverance which kept us all captivated – not an easy task! Well done
Lindsey Ling - Asda Huyton
I am one of the Asda colleagues from Huyton and I attended the first aid course from Tuesday 29th September to Thursday 1st October with Tim Hassall. I would just like to say that Tim was an excellent teacher with lots of patience. Teaching adults new things isn't always easy at times. His methods of teaching are excellent and his knowledge and experiences are a great asset to your company. I have done a first aid courses before and can confirm that this is by far the best I have ever done. I hope that you acknowledge the effort and passion that Tim has for his work and your company. The time went very quickly and we were extremely happy with the contents of the course and the way it was delivered. We would highly recommend your company. Thanks to Jo for keeping us all focused and for all her helpful and advice, she put the course across well.
Charlotte Sear - Code Computerlove Ltd
I have just completed one of your first aid courses in Manchester, I wanted to send this email regarding our trainer, Paul Kuznier, as he was fantastic. Paul was actually not scheduled to teach our course, the instructor we were supposed to have phoned in sick and Paul was called to fill in for him- I am really glad that he was!!! He was energetic and really insightful, he made every day interesting and fun whilst still making sure that information was clearly understood by everyone. My colleague mentioned that you could tell he was very passionate about his work and that he had a real knowledge about fist aid- it never seemed like he was just going through a PowerPoint presentation he was able to give us some real life examples and answer the many questions that was thrown his way. On top of all of this he was a genuinely lovely man, he was always happy to help and go over things that people were having difficulty with and he made the effort to talk to each member of the group and make sure that everyone was engaged and partaking equally! Thank you very much!
Tracy McCarroll - Tesco, Compliance Manager
Just a quick email to let you know, we hosted a full first aid course in my store yesterday with the tutor Richard Bottomley, I want to take this opportunity to give you the feedback, In the words of the delegates he was brilliant very knowledgable sharing his vast knowledge whilst being discreet and not disclosing identifiable information. The delegates came away buzzing from the course. Thank you so much.
Alma Hales - Delgate AED & CPR
A good all round Refresher Course which I believe keeps us informed on the latest First-aid. Good first aid manual was issued to us, the trainer was very good at explaining and showing best practise. Thank you, Alma Hales.
Lauren Hutchinson - Delgate
Myself and my partner have just completed a 3 day course in Battersea and would like to say how brilliant it was. Gart Stewart your trainer was great and made the course fun and really knowledgable. I have been in the fitness industry for 10 years now and think delivering first aid courses or some sort of courses would be a next step for me - do you offer any tutor training? I'd love to be able to deliver courses. Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks again Lauren
Haley Lockwood - Delegate
Just finished my 3 day course to refresh my certificate in work. I must say how pleased I was with your trainer Richard Bottomley, I felt so relaxed, no nervousness (like I had the last 2 times) he was always going that bit extra to make sure I was ok with all that we were being taught . An asset to your company and I'd wish that and trust in you to make sure Richard knows that he has this comment given and be given the praise he deserves!!
Lorraine Sanders - Hemsley Fraser, Assistant Vendor Manager
This was my 3rd Emergency First Aid course, each time with a different suppliers. By far, this was the most dynamic trainer I had. He held our attention at all times, and it did not feel that it ‘lagged’ at all. Phil was extremely knowledgeable, funny, to the point, and was able to answer every single question we asked. When explaining why we did something, he always came up with ‘tricky’ scenarios to point out what should be prioritised. Phil was also the only trainer I’ve had that mentioned how traumatic an experience it is to apply CPR (regardless of the outcome) and to recommend counselling afterwards. The course was run really well and Phil made the day enjoyable, he was a very knowledgeable and was able to draw upon his experience to bring real world examples to the course. Slightly slow start but it had to be to get the theory out the way. Once the first break was out the way it was a lot more hands-on. I thought Phil was really good! I was really impressed with his knowledge and ability to answer questions in detail! He was also a funny guy which helped us through the slightly more boring parts of the content. Also used a lot of ‘memory rhymes’ which helped embed the learning.”
Lorraine Sanders - Hemsley Fraser, Assistant Vendor Manager
I found the training to be very informative and enlightening and overall feel the course went really well, the trainer was clear and concise with the information given. I particularly enjoyed being able to use a fire extinguishers at the end of the session, being able to feel the weight of it and pulling off the safety clip, I am now confident in my ability to use them, if necessary. I found the trainer wasn’t very open at first, but settled after an hour or so and was very knowledgeable. The practical exercise was great, I loved the fire extinguisher. On the whole I would say I learnt a lot……………….. the video that was shown was rather odd, it was just five minutes noughties era trance music accompanied by a montage of serious house fires. I don’t feel that I learnt a lot from that”. I look forward to receiving the certificates for both my first aid and fire safety courses
Steph Walker - Domicile Care LCC
As promised I have forwarded this message to you in respect of trainer Jo Walker who taught me on a one day moving and handling of people course last week. Jo seemed to be very knowledgeable with lots of experience and qualifications behind her. She has taught me new techniques and equipment to use within the workplace. An enjoyable training course to develop my skills.
Tara Hale - Asda Oldbury
I have just finished the level 3 - 3 day course of first aid at Asda Oldbury. Our tutor was Leslie Singleton, the whole experience was wonderful he really is a credit to Green Cross, his enthusiasm really encourages you to want to learn more. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Colin Duggan - Security Manager Incentive FM
Sorry this is a little late, but just some feedback on the first aid course run at site by Green Cross training at the end of May. I have had rave reviews from the staff that took the course saying it was the best first aid course they had ever been on, and several of them have been on courses for over 15 years. Tim the instructor was well informed, friendly and taught the staff some areas they have never been taught before (i.e. CPR on babies and young children). They all said they enjoyed the course, which considering some of them I had to almost force to attend was really good. I would recommend the use of this company again.
Tesco - UK Healthcare Manager
Tesco Stores Ltd have over 2,600 stores and distribution centres and have been using Wallace Cameron (now branded Green Cross Training) for the past 18 years as sole provider for all first aid at training, including AED training. We are delighted with the way this contract runs itself and unreservedly recommend them as an exeptional provider of First Aid Training. Their high standard of training is reflected in the way they communicate with us and we have never had cause to consider replacing them as our sole supplier.
Pip Hodge - Compliance Manager, Tesco PLC
Just wanted to feed back some positive comments about a first aid course that was run in the Chard Branch of Tesco. We had candidates from various stores across our region, but all the trainees said the same
It is so nice to be able to feedback positive comments, well done and many thanks to Julia
Sophie Moore - Tesco Saffron Walden
I am writing to you to inform you about the Green Cross first aid course that four of Tesco employees attended on Monday 23/02 to Wednesday 25/02 at Tesco Saffron Walden. I would like to let you know how excellent the member of your team conducted her course. The trainer that attended our store was Mary Maguire. She was punctual and smart in her dress. I’m not sure if you are aware that Tesco is having a complete change around of the management structure. The days that the course was on were the days that Tesco staff had their meetings to find out that was happening to their job roles. Mary was very considerate and sensitive to how we were all feeling and ensured that none of us missed any of the courses. She made us all feel very comfortable and explained all aspects of first aid incorporating her own personal experiences that helped us to understand. She encouraged us to talk about our own experiences in first aid with a safe and understanding environment. We all need to have various training sessions for different aspects of our jobs but none us have enjoyed and felt so comfortable in training before. We felt so happy with our trainer that we actually brought her some chocolate as a gift to show our appreciation. Please ensure that Mary sees this and that you give her the recognition that she sincerely deserves. We all feel competent in first aid and we owe it to Mary.
Julia Davis - Tesco Bidston 2098
I am a Checkout Manager at Tesco Bidston Moss and have just completed my Level 3 First Aid Training with one of your Trainers, Jo Walker. We had 3 shop floor staff with us as well and two guys from Widness Store. We all thoroughly enjoyed the training as it was delivered in such a professional, fun way that Jo had all of our attention 100% of the time. I have given this feedback to my Compliance Manager who arranged this training and I thought I would take the time to inform you too, as we were all so impressed with Jo and how it was delivered. I look forward to my refresher training in 3 years time - Many thanks Julia Davis.
Laura Waskett - H&M Sercurity Dept

Just wanted to drop you a quick email saying how our colleagues enjoyed the first aid course that was booked at the Wigan depot last week (2-3-4 Feb with trainer Tim Hassall). One of our colleagues has done a number of courses and has said that this was the best course that they had been on. She said that she learnt more.
Bernadette Dowling - Asda
I work for Asda in Manchester and attended the 3 Day First Aid At Work course last week (25th-27th Nov) at Asda in Ashton with Lisa Moore). During the 3 days since I have been back in work, there have been 2 first aid incidents, the second of which was quite a serious heart problem, however, I feel that because of Lisa's training, I remained calm, was able to deal with the situation and that I actually did help and kept the man calm - once he came round - until the paramedics arrived. Please would you pass on my thanks and gratitude to Lisa. Thank you.
Peter Valentine - BP Infrastructure Planning and Delivery Team Member (Power – Boarhunt Project). BT Technology Service & Operations – Global Infrastructure Services

I would just like to say that the Trainer Sam Logan that I and 3 of my lads had was excellent and the main reason we are booking more. Sam is very knowledgable, a great teacher and really knows his stuff. Been on many different training courses and Sam is one of the best trainers I have come across.
Laura Wyatt - Cannon Europe
I just wanted to pass my thanks onto you for the first aid session at our learning@workday. Jan was absolutely brilliant and I don't know if she mentioned we had a genuine first aid incident during the session when one of the chaps fainted. It was very handy to have her there. After the session so many people said how much would it be for Jan to come for the day and put together a session for maximum of 25-30 participants?
David Flood - BT
I attended the course at Liverpool Adelphi last week (12-14 May) and found the approach used a refreshing change. The instructors were excellent.

Debbie Thwaites - Tesco 2978 Oakham
I and another 6 colleagues from Tesco Oakham took part in the first aid course at the end of September. On behalf of us all, I would like to say what a great tutor we found Mary Maguire to be. Many of us have done first aid courses before, but did not enjoy it as much as we did with Mary. Not only was she very informative, she also made the course fun to be a part of. Since gaining our first aid qualification, myself and 3 others have had to give first aid to customers. Thanks to Mary’s tutoring skills we all had the confidence and capability to deal with the calls. Please pass on our sincere thanks to Mary.
Kim Appleton - Delegate
I just wanted to send a quick email to say how great Dean has been. He has helped me sort out the right course for what I need and even got me on a course just round the corner from me instead of travelling miles for 3 days. He has kept me updated when a course was rescheduled. He has even emailed me and sorted me out by passing on my details to Craig (who was also fab! ) when he was sat waiting for his plane!
He is a real credit to your team and I hope you will praise him for what he has done for me. One very happy customer who will defo recommend greencross training in the future.
Emma Costello - Delegate
Jo Walker did first aid training last Tuesday with me, I have been trained before but the refresher really helped when I had to help a lady who had had a bad accident who was badly bleeding. Just wanted to pass my thanks on as the ambulance was delayed and I felt confident to support her until the ambulance arrived, thanks again. The lady will hopefully be ok the police rang me to let me know she was having tests, scans and possibly staying in hospital. (Head injury and bleeding).
Michelle Brown -Tesco
I attended a first aid training course at Tesco Saffron Walden this week run by Mary Maquire. I have to say it was the best training course I have ever been to. Mary made the course interesting and fun while showing the best life skill you could learn. Amazing everyone should have Mary teach them first aid.
Pat Devine - Tesco Hoyland South Yorks
I thought I would just send a quick note to say THANK YOU. People are quick to complain but seldom say thank you for a job well done. I have had my first aid training (at Tesco Hoyland South Yorks) last week. This is a course that everyone thinks of doing but never seem to get around to. I worked for my previous employer for 15 years and was never put forward to be a first aider, although I did ask - I started work for Tesco in August and it was them that approached me. I jumped at the chance. Mary (I think Macguire) our tutor, was brilliant, she is an absolute credit to your company. Friendly, knowledgeable and fun. Nothing was too much and no question was left unanswered. Her lovely smile and friendly manner brightened up each day and she made a group of nervous people feel relaxed and enjoy every minute of the course. It went too fast and I was sad when it came to an end. Well done Mary!!, and Thank you for putting up with us - you deserve a rise. I really hope that if we do a refresher in the future you will send Mary to us again.
Jo Adnett - Asda
Feel very confident to go back to store and use my knowledge of first aid. Trainer very good and explained everything clearly amd made us feel confident.
