It was good to hear this week in the Chancellors budget his announcement of £75m of further help to "support those who represent the very best of British values" As part of this announcement he said "We’ll also set aside £1 million to help buy defibrillators for public places, including schools, and support training in their use to save more lives."
Cardiac arrest claims thousands of lives every year but many could have been saved through the use of a defibrillator. A casualty’s survival prospect will dramatically increase if an AED and a trained operator is available. In response to this fact, Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are now becoming more common throughout a range of work and public places.
At Green Cross Training our Basic Life Support course leads to a national award in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) which will give you the knowledge and competence to decide when and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
If you would like more information on our courses or to purchase a defibrillator please contact Milton Keynes 01908 611689 or Hamilton 01698 285 272 (9am - 5pm Mon to Fri) and we will be delighted to help.
